“SS24 MINOTAURE”

The minotaur as portrayed in ancient Greek mythology is a creature with the head and tail of a bull and the body of a man, said to be born from the unnatural union of a queen and a bull. It is a symbol of fear, power and strength.

According to myth, the Minotaur dwelt at the centre of a maze-like construction called the Labyrinth which wad built by the architect Daedalus and his son Icarus on command of King Minos of Crete.

The maze appears as a symbol of the twists and turns of oour inner conscience, the human psyche and the Minotaur our strength to conquer our inner fears dwelling there.

The Minotaur was eventually killed by the Athenian hero Theseus.

Undoubtedly one of the most intriguing cratures, creatures in Greek mythology, the Minotaur has left an indelible mark on art and literature, being depicted in countless works of art from ancient Greek pottery to modern day sculptures and appearing also in other cross country culture in literature and films.

The minotaur continues to inspire artists and storytellers who spread its appeal across generations and throughout the world.

Unique and exclusive prints were created by Konstantina first by hand and then digitally. A distinguished palette of colors was kept, vivid as the colors of the Knossos palace murals, bright as the Greek sun over Delos in the Aegean Sea using shades of blue, the brand's characteristic royal red etc
